Dysphunctional species (DPS) has been rockin' the north coast of California for 10 years, kickin killer beats and original tracks.
Founded in 1999 by Ian Gleason, today the band consists of, left to right, Keith Abrams, bass, Jamo Hodder, vocals, Prometheus Glover, drums, Ian Gleason, vocals, Andrew Johnston, vocals, and George Abrams, guitar.
Ian Gleason - Vocals
Ian is the founder of DPS, and has been kicking his original vocal flavor in California for over 10 years. His signature style comes from his influences which include Sadat X, Too Short, Spearhead, and more.
Jameson Hodder - Vocals
Jameson Hodder (son of Steely Dan drummer Jim Hodder) is well known around Point Arena for his vocal talents and expression. Jamo loves to sing, rap, freestyle, and basically hold a vibe whenever a groove is playing. Jamo is also an avid surfer and daddy.
Andrew Johnston - Vocals
Andrew has been singing with Jamo and Ian for years, and is affectionately known as the "hook guy." Andrew's big booming tenor comes naturally to him, he's been singing since he was in church as a youngster.
Keith Abrams - Bass
Keith brings the unique groove of DPS to the bass. Equally comfortable on guitar and percussion, Keith also tinkers in the studio, and assists in building tracks and producing DPS's recorded music as well.
George Abrams - Guitar
George (Keith's Brother) is a talented guitarist and multi-instrumentalist as well. George also plays percussion and keyboards. His licks are key part of the DPS style.
Prometheus Glover - Drums
Prometheus holds down the beat of DPS, and is an accomplished drummer and percussionist. Prometheus also acts as band producer, and runs War Cry Records as an outlet for the band's music and other projects by DPS members.
